GIORMANI has been supporting thedevelopment of youth by helping Hong Kong teenagers in identifyingtheir career aspiration byjoining the " Partnerin Youth " for five consecutive years. The Child Development InitiativeAlliance (CDIA) launched the "Partner in Youth" on 21st January,with Mr. Michael Suen, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and Miss Charmaine Lee,Director of Social Welfare, officiating at the launching ceremony of the YouthCareer Partnership. CDIA has been advocating the need in helping teenagers agedbetween 16 and 20, to allow them to have early access to employment through theY-WE Program during their high school years. By participating the Y-WE program,they can find out their interests and career aspirations during theinternships, plan for their careers and equip themselves to pursue their careerpaths.

More than 93% of the participants of the Y-WE Program areSecondary 4 to 6 students, who mainly come from grassroots families such asthose on CSSA, low-income, ethnic minorities, new immigrants, single parents,etc. The Y-WE Program has been implemented by all social welfare organizations.Recommended by social welfare organizations or schools, students will undergointerviews and training, including career orientation, before formally joiningthe Y-WE Program. 450 students had participated in the Y-WE Program in 2023,and more than 400 companies supported the Program and provided internshipopportunities, students successfully matched with different interests withsuitable internship opportunities.
