【The 22nd GS1 Hong Kong Summit】
The 22nd GS1 Hong Kong Summit was held on 14/11 at HKCEC, with 200 participants. Under the theme of "Driving Digitalisation & Sustainability for Tomorrow", the Summit explored the importance of technology in the development of various industries and promotes the exchange and cooperation among the local business community.
GIORMANI has been worked hard for sustainability. Ms. Jane Tong, Founder and Executive Director of GIORMANI, was invited to be one of the speakers at this year's Sustainability Panel to share the keys to sustainability, how to incorporate sustainability concepts into a company's business strategy, and how to enhance sustainability performance and address sustainability challenges in an innovative way. Through the Summit, Jane hoped that more SMEs could be encouraged to adopt sustainable development and emphasized that sustainable development could save costs and that SMEs should regard sustainable development as a long-term investment, which is measured by profit return. Jane also suggested that SMEs could make use of their own expertise to develop sustainable development, which is easier to start with.
The Summit was officiated by Mr. Lam Sai-hung, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, together with Mr. Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, Member of the Executive Council and Legislative Council, Mr. Frankie Yick Chi-ming,Member of the Legislative Council, Mr. Peter Shiu Ka-fai, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference,Mr. Duncan CHIU, Member of the Legislative Council, Ms. May Chung, Chair person of the Board of Directors of GS1 HK, and Mr. Anna Lin, Chief Executive Officer of GS1 HK, who kicked off the Summit. The 22nd GS1 Hong Kong Summit also featured renowned senior executives and entrepreneurs who provided key insights into popular industry trends, including business transformation, digitization,generative AI, data intelligence, BGA opportunities, as well as the latest retail and e-commerce trends in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region, with a view to facilitating the transformation of the industry and encouraging different industry to work together to promote sustainable development.
